As industry transforms to knowledge-based business models, the knowledge gap at the interface of intellectual property and business strategy becomes a bottleneck in achieving competitive advantage. Bridging this gap requires business and technology managers to understand the strategic role of intellectual property as well as IP managers to understand how intellectual property creates business value.
