Location: Eindhoven, the Netherlands
Time period: 9 weeks during June, July and August 2016
Explanation of the work:
All interns were assigned an individual project to work with during the summer. My project was initially focusing on the idea that I pitched during the interviews, but was changed during the first week. We all had an individual supervisor who supported during the summer. At the end of internship, the outcomes of the project were presented for the managers and the IP counselors at IP&S.
Philips has in the past few years increased their offerings of services and coaching in relation to products sold on the market. The project was to evaluate the impact on IP moving from product-based to service-based business, applied to a certain project within Philips (which is secret, so unfortunately I can’t tell you more).
How did your education thus far prepare you for the tasks you have done?
All of the tasks within the project were very equivalent with what we have done in the education the previous year. For instance, identifying the IP assets within the project and evaluating data management/monitoring.
