Location: Eindhoven, The Netherlands
Time period: 9 weeks during June and July 2015
Explanation of the work:
I worked on two projects during the internship, one regarding creative ways of using IP tools in emerging business areas and one project regarding the role of IP on social media. The two projects were presented both as reports and in front of the IP&S management team. We also got the opportunity to present our projects for the IP&S departments all over the globe with people participating via link.
How did your education thus far prepare you for the tasks you have done?
The education at ICM really helped me in regard to having a practical view upon IP as we faced problems where no judicial solution was applicable. Also the focus on how to present your knowledge had a big influence as our final report had to show two months of work during a 10 minute presentation. In addition, the way of working people from different educational backgrounds really helped us during the social media project as many of the solutions had to be relevant both for the marketing team as well as the legal team.
