“We innovate because we are incapable of not.” Paul Fehlner
Paul participated in a seminar with the Health2Market project and held an exclusive seminar for the master programme students and our industry network on IP strategy in the pharmaceutical industry sector. He shared insights from the perspective of Novartis as one of world’s leading pharmaceutical corporations and led an interesting discussion on the future of big pharma. He also had a coaching session with the students and talked about future internships and career possibilities at Novartis.
Mr. Fehlner joined Novartis in 2008 from the law firm of Baker Botts, where he specialized in intellectual property counselling and strategic planning in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Paul has over 22 years experience in intellectual property law, including seven years as a partner at Darby & Darby, with earlier work as biotechnology counsel for Rhone-Poulence Rorer. Paul has a B.S. in chemistry from Haverford College, a Ph.D. in immunology and biochemistry from The Rockefeller University, and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
We thank Mr. Fehlner for taking his time to visit us and engage with students!
