Merima Bruncevic

Merima Bruncevic holds an LLD in jurisprudence and her research fields are intellectual property law, cultural heritage law and legal philosophy. She has studied the concept of the cultural commons and the possibilities of introducing such a concept to law or giving it a legal platform, and is particularly interested in legal theory, continental philosophy, and philosophical methods applied to law. Bruncevic has previously used the rhizome theory by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari in her research in order to discuss the cognitive openness of law as well as issues concerning cultural heritage, justice, sustainable development and global distributive justice. She teaches legal philosophy and intellectual property law at the Department of Law at University of Gothenburg.
